Shaping audiovisual content —
through the power of language

Hi! I’m Lisa Menne, and I translate from English and French into my native language, German.
I’ve always had a passion for foreign languages and a strong sense of wanderlust. Since my teenage years, I’ve loved immersing myself in fictional worlds and engaging with compelling stories and characters. So it felt only natural to combine my enthusiasm for languages, cultures, and film into a career.
After completing my Master’s in Specialized Translation and Media Translation, I gained valuable experience in the localization industry at Sky Deutschland, Scheune München, and The Walt Disney Company (see details below).
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2019, specializing exclusively in voice-over, lip-sync dubbing, and subtitling since 2021. In 2024, I expanded my freelance work into a part-time profession—because I truly enjoy what I do.
My goal is to help make audiovisual content accessible to a wide audience—guided by the source material and attuned to the language, culture, and context of the target audience. Creativity and a strong sense of nuance are what drive my work.
I’m quick to adapt to new workflows, I continuously broaden my expertise, I value clear communication, and I always meet my deadlines. But above all: I’m passionate about what I do—and I believe that shows in every collaboration.
I’m always excited about new projects and connections.
Hope to hear from you soon!
– Lisa
